Alejandra is not the only beauty queen in her family; her mother is a former Nuestra Belleza Quintana Roo candidate. Not new to the pageantry, Alejandra represented Juan Rodriguez Clara at Miss Earth Veracruz 2018 and competed against 23 other candidates at Teatro de la Reforma IVEC in Veracruz. She finished fourth at the finale. In 2018, she represented Juan Rodriguez Clara at Mexicana Universal Veracruz 2018 where she was runner-up.

In 2019, she represented Xalapa at Miss Veracruz 2019 where she placed in the Top 5 and was crowned Reina de la Zona Centro 2019. In 2021, she competed against 15 other candidates at Miss Morelos 2021 where she was second runner-up. Alejandra, as Miss Universe El Salvador 2022, represented her country at Miss Universe 2022 but remained unplaced.

At a very young age, Alejandra had to get stronger mentally for her father who was diagnosed with cancer. To get through the adversity, together with her father, she started a CBD oil business and they still support low-income families suffering from similar health conditions. She will definitely be a strong contender for the Miss Charm crown.

Miss Charm 2024, the second edition of Miss Charm, will be held in May 2024 in Vietnam where Miss Charm 2023 Luma Russo of Brazil will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
