Krishnah Marie Gravidez, representing Baguio, was crowned Miss Charm Philippines 2024 after the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 held at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City in May 2023. Krishnah Marie Gravidez will now represent Philippines at Miss Charm 2024.
After the grand coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2023, an after-party took place at Cove Manila in Okada where Krishnah Marie Gravidez was awarded the Miss Charm Philippines 2024 crown. Krishnah is a Filipino entrepreneur and beauty queen based in Baguio City, Philippines. She is originally from Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
In the Q&A portion, at the coronation night, Krishnah was asked, "Transwomen athletes are now being allowed to compete in women's sports events in many international competitions. Do you think that this is a step in the right direction? Why or why? Not?"
She answered, "I am all for equality with all genders, and I believe that we have the right to participate in any sports. However, I believe that there's a biological reason that we should not allow transwomen in women category, because I believe that there is a right time for that and there's right measurements to be done. Thank you."
At the final Q/A round, she was asked, "Recently, the Department of Tourism has adopted a new branding campaign, '"We give the world our best.' For you, what is the best that we could offer to the rest of the world? Why do you consider it so?"
During her turn, Krishnah responded, "Having to struggle at a very early age, I had uncertainties but I receive kindness a lot of times. So now, aside from it's free, I give kindness to everyone. Because this kindness can go a long way, can motivate someone, or can give radiance to their days. Because this kindness also made me transform myself from a woman who had nothing, to a lady that has the universe in her doorstep."
A youth empowerment advocate, Gravidez is a part of the Colors of Kindness, a charity organization that aims to inspire, empower and uplift the youth. Krishnah was a sight to behold at the evening gown competition where everyone expected her to win the national crown. The 22-year-old stunning beauty will now prepare to represent her country in Miss Charm 2024 in Vietnam.
