In the event finale held at The Grand Salon of the Hotel Cochabamba, Vanessa Vargas Gonzales was crowned Miss Cochabamba 2018 and will represent La Llajta in the upcoming Miss Bolivia 2018. She succeeds Miss Cochabamba 2017 Andrea Ortuna Bacinello.
The 22-year-old beauty is the first candidate crowned for the national pageant. The dazzling diva looked gorgeous in her shimmering silver gown.
An architecture student of Bolivian Private University, Vanessa exclaimed, "The title was fought from the beginning, since we started competing with each other and that enriched this contest much more. I'm very proud of all my colleagues. I thank my mother and my coach.”
At the question and answer round, Vanessa was asked, “Would you make the decision to cover up some crime punishable by law for the welfare of a first-degree member of your family?”

Her reply deserved a round of applause - “I consider that good and bad actions should be rewarded or punished, I would definitely not cover a relative of mine because anyway I want their welfare and I think that learning would do better than covering up.”
At the end of the event finale, Jimena Gabriela Aldunate Zambrana was crowned Señorita Cochabamba 2018 and Kendra Daylin García Bustamante was elected Miss Valle 2018.
