Sunday night Miss Universe 2015 finale turned into a disaster, by the time the pageant reached its finale. Miss Universe Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was for a moment announced as the winner, before the host Steve Harvey corrected himself and said the real winner was actually Miss Universe Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. The whole world responded to this blunder through memes and status updates against Steve Harvey.
The former Miss Universe owner, Donald Trump, also tweeted upon the matter as he said, “Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant. I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!” Through his tweet, Trump made it clear that this blunder wouldn’t have happened, if Trump would have been involved in the pageant.

When Trump was asked what would be his solution on this blunder, he said. "I'll tell you what I think I'd do. I think I'd make 'em a co-winner. It'd be very cool," Trump said. "I would recommend that they go have a beautiful ceremony, which is good for the brand and good for Miss Universe, and do a co-winner," he added.

The pageants were co-owned by Trump and NBC Universal. But NBC broke off its ties with Trump in June amid widespread criticism of the candidate's comments about Mexican immigrants. The network decided not to televise the Miss USA pageant in July. He then sold it to the giant talent agency WME/IMG.
