The coronation night of Miss CosmoWorld 2022 was held on Wednesday, 30th November 2022 at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia where Meiji Cruz of the Philippines was crowned the new queen.

Meiji Cruz bested over 20 other contestants to be crowned the new Miss CosmoWorld 2022. She is 28 years of age and a TV host and brand ambassador. No stranger to the pageantry, she competed at Binibining Pilipinas 2021 where she finished as second runner-up. Meiji is a graduate of three bachelor's degrees and currently pursuing her master's.

Meiji Cruz is an advocate for education. “My life has transformed through the power of education. Thus, I want to emphasize the importance of quality and free access to education. As we educate our youth we provide them a tool to be empowered, be independent and be a productive individual of the society”, she quotes.

Also at the finale, Amaliya Shakirova of Uzbekistan and Onnapun Na Chiangmai of Thailand were adjudged as the first and second runners-up respectively. Zara Amalina of Indonesia and Cecilia Kongwa of Zambia rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

Miss CosmoWorld is a Malaysia-based international beauty pageant run by celebrity and former Miss Chinese Cosmos Carrie Lee. The winner takes home cash and prizes worth 100,000 US dollars. Congratulations to the newly crowned queen!
