One of the Big 4 beauty pageants; Miss Earth 2014 has officially set on fire from November 7’ 2014 Quezon City, Philippines with the arrival of 89 delegates from around the world in race for the coveted Miss Earth 2014 crown. This is the 14th edition of the Miss Earth beauty pageant.

Miss Earth 2014 pageant will be packed with adventure, fun, excitement and learning sessions for the gorgeous ladies. As the theme “Beauty for a cause” suggests, the event will be promoting ecotourism which aims to raise awareness among the tourists and travellers regarding ecological balance and conservation of resources in order to directly benefit the economic development.

The main event commenced with the orientation of the delegates held on November 10’ 2014 at Green Sun Hotel, followed by visits to various schools and tourist places that in turn enhance their knowledge regarding eco-friendly activities. The pageant constitutes of numerous competitions which will provide a platform to the beauties to flaunt their talent.

The pageant winner is expected to be involved in international projects, which are also promoted during the pageant's broadcast. The delegates also take part in tree planting ceremonies, environmental and cultural immersion programs, sponsor visits and tours. Apart from a strong emphasis on environmental protection programs, Miss Earth also aims to showcase and promote various tourist destinations.

The finals will take place on November 29’ 2014 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.
