As the Miss Earth 2016 beauty pageant flies towards its last destination, the gorgeous contestants took out time from all the preparations and pre-pageant activities, just to visit a municipality in the Philippines and clean the coast off garbage there.

The Miss Earth 2016 contestants showed off their responsible sides when they proudly went about picking up garbage with their bare hands from the sand and collecting the rubbish in garbage bags that they had with them. As people gathered around them and start to take photos and make videos, the contestants didn’t blink an eye and continued with the noble cause of cleaning their Mother Earth.

This activity showed the world what the Miss Earth pageant is all about. It displayed the confidence of the contestants who believed that even small steps and little changes could lead to a cleaner and healthier environment.

The Miss Earth 2016 beauty pageant is scheduled to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City in Metro Manila, Philippines. The annual international pageant promotes environmental awareness. This year Angelia Ong of the Philippines will crown her successor at the culmination of the finals on October 29’ 2016.
