Miss Earth 2018 has officially begun and has started to host its preliminary competitions before they reach the finale to crown their new queen. With the National Costume Competition done and dusted, the gorgeous ladies will now compete in the Long Gown competition where the contestants will parade in their long gowns showing their elegance and characteristics.
Fire Goddesses will compete tonight at Catanauan Cove in the Long Gown Competition. The countries that comprise of Fire Group are Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Bolivia, Curacao, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Korea, Malaysia, Montenegro, Nepal, Netherlands, Nigeria, Panama, Poland, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, USA and Venezuela.
The Water Group comprising of Austria, Bahamas, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Liberia, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Reunion Island, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Ukraine and Vietnam will also participate in the competition tonight.

The Air Group held its Long Gown Competition on 12th October 2018 at the Versailles Palace in Alabang at 7 PM (PST). The Air Group will be comprised of the following countries - Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Crimea, Cuba, England, France, Ghana, Guam, Haiti, Hungary, India, Ireland, Japan, Lebanon, Mauritius, Moldova, Myanmar, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Samoa, Slovenia, Trinidad & Tobago and Zambia.
Danijela Burjan (Slovenia) won the gold medal in the group while Celeste Cortesi (Philippines) and Jessica Russo (Peru) were awarded silver and bronze medals respectively.
