Miss Earth 2018 Phuong Khanh has been promoting and advocating environmental awareness ever since her crowning last year. Being an environment ambassador, Phuong has carried her responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.
Recently she took to her social media to talk about Earth hour which will be held on 30th March 2019 and invited everyone to celebrate the hour together by turning off the power globally for an hour (8:30 PM local time). She wrote, “With being a companion to this event in Vietnam as well as the role and responsibility of a natural protection messenger towards Miss Earth, I call on all people throughout the five continents, without distraction Cultural differences, regions, voices or nations, we work together to implement this movement and create a positive energy saving habit.”
Phuong also talked about the responsibilities that each citizen has as a global citizen, “We are living together on Earth, so the responsibility of protecting the environment, saving energy and using smart natural resources will be a necessary condition for sustainable and happy development. Once again, please appeal to everyone's response in this year's Earth Hour event 2019. Thank you.”
