Nellys Pimentel is the first ever Puerto Rican Miss Earth to have won the grand crown in 2019. A grand recognition ceremony was held on 18th November 2019 where she was honoured by the Senate of Puerto Rico. She was first received by the Governor of Puerto Rico, Wanda Vazquez Garced, in Fortaleza from where she went on to attend the royal ceremony.
Nellys was seen wearing a stunning white dress and carried her crown and sash with utmost pride and dignity as she entered the stage. The tribute was presented by the Accumulation Senator, Honourable Itzamar Pena Ramirez and was chaired by the President of the Senate of Puerto Rico, Honourable Thomas Rivera Schatz. It was an even more of a special occasion as this was the eighteenth Legislative Assembly of the Sixth Ordinary Session of the Senate of Puerto Rico.
During her visit to Puerto Rico, Pimentel was also spotted enjoying a day out at Viejo San Juan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Viejo San Juan has immense cultural and architectural significance and our queen had a great time there. It is indeed an honour and a privilege foe Nellys to receive this recognition and we cannot wait for her to conquer more such milestones.
