24 Dec 2020 | Ana Walia

The organization of Miss Earth opted for a virtual ceremony for their 20th edition of Miss Earth 2020 on 29th November 2020 due to the pandemic outbreak across the countries. Lindsey Coffey from United States was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale and became the first representative from the United States to win the title.

The beauty competition had a total of 84 representatives those were split into four continental groups; Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania and Europe. The competition included a two month long online pre-pageant activities and the fans along with the jury got to know about their respective representatives. One of the reasons why the organization didn’t skip this year’s competition was because through the competition, the organization was able to promote its environmental campaign to the fullest; they shouldered on with their mission to inspire people across the world with their environmental platforms. They were able to stick to their core values: promoting social responsibility, conservation, and environmental awareness throughout the competition and were highly applauded for their step.

With Lindsey Coffey and her court believing in the same core values as Miss Earth beauty pageant, they have expressed their own purpose and motive for which they will be using the platform given to them. Let’s look at Miss Earth 2020 Lindsey Coffey and her court’s purpose with Miss Earth platform.

Lindsey is looking forward to use her platform to not only reach out to a massive audience through technology but also connect with some of the best and most brilliant minds in the field of sustainability, collaborating through awareness campaigns, initiatives, webinars, and summits. She wishes to have world peace as she dreams to live in a world filled with the beauty of magic. The diva also has a soft spot for animals and stated that she would use that magic to create homes for all the lost puppies.
