The public organization ‘World Academy of Beauty, Talent and Fashion’ headed by its President Yana Grigoryan became the official exclusive representative of Armenia at the prestigious world contest Miss Earth. The organization hosted an intimate ceremony a few days ago where Marina Shukuryan was crowned as Miss Earth Armenia 2021 and won the opportunity to represent the country at Miss Earth 2021.

Marina is a 23 year-old economist by profession and is now working as a graphic designer and as a model. She is also voluntarily involved in supporting homeless animals and in increasing the social responsibility to save our environment. After being crowned, she took to her social media to express her gratitude as she wrote, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Making my steps into the Miss Earth family. Very grateful for such opportunity to represent my country Armenia in Miss Earth international contest. Happy to be a part of the Miss Earth family.”

Arina succeeds Miss Earth Armenia 2020 Melikyan Yeranuhi for the title. Melikyan represented Armenia at the Miss Earth 2020 virtual pageant, where her performance was really appreciated and she also won the bronze award for the National Costume competition for team Europe.

This year again, the Miss Earth organization has decided to host a virtual pageant, with the grand coronation scheduled to be held on 21st November 2021, considering the uncertainty of the ongoing pandemic situation and to ensure safety of the delegates and production staff.

This year, Miss Earth takes on the theme ‘Colors of the Earth’ to reflect the vast and unique biodiversity of the world. It also alludes to the brighter outlook on 2021 coming from a rather bleak 2020 due to the pandemic. The winner this year will succeed Miss Earth 2020 Lindsey Marie Coffey of USA.
