The grand finale of Miss Earth Australia 2018 will be held on 8th September 2018 where 18 contestants will fight for the national title. The winner will represent Australia at Miss Earth 2018 to be held on 3rd November 2018 in the Philippines where Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco will crown her successor.
The winner of Miss Earth Australia 2018 will have some big shoes to fill as they will be succeeding Nina Robertson who was Miss Earth Australia 2017 as well as Miss Earth – Air 2017. Thus, before the finale, Angelopedia has selected the Top 5 contestants who will most likely win the national title. Those five contestants are as follows –
Grace Hann
Grace, who is 170 cm in height, was a finalist in Australian Supermodel of the Year 2016 and a national finalist in the TV Reality show Miss Multiverse Australia 2017. She is now a finalist at Miss Earth Australia 2018.
Grace is passionate about addressing the issue of deforestation. She is deeply concerned with the imbalance caused in the atmosphere due to lack of oxygen and the effects it will have on the health of animals as well as humans.
Kerry-Anne Peterson
Kerry-Anne has a height of 175 cm and is of Macedonian and Indian descent. She is a model by profession and calls herself a “rescue mommy” due to her passion for saving animals. She was crowned Miss Australia Transcontinental 2018.
Her main environmental concern is the tons of waste that is dumped into the oceans every day, which is affecting marine life quite severely. She wants everyone to work together to resolve this issue.
Monique Shippen
Monique is one of the finalists of Miss Earth Australia 2018 who stands tall with a height of 172 cm. She is of British as well as Filipino descent. Monique is a singer, a songwriter as well as a professional model. She often posts videos of herself singing on her social media. Monique is no stranger to the pageant world as she participated in a pageant called Miss Philippines-Australia 2012. She also likes to dress up as different characters, be it superheroes or Disney princesses.
As a participant at Miss Earth Australia 2018, she wants to help people become more aware about the adversities that they carry out on nature, citing the issues of deforestation, pollution and global warming. She wants people to participate in community events like Earth Hour, Clean Up Australia Day and Plastic Free July that will help people contribute to the restoration of the environment.
Susana Downes
With a height of 172 cm, Susana Daniels is the triple threat of Miss Earth Australia 2018 as she is a singer, actress and a dancer; she works as a performer at Superstar Parties, an event manager for children’s parties. Susana was also one of the wild card contestants at Miss Grand Australia 2018, which gives her fresh and a much needed exposure into the pageant world.
Susana addresses the problem of water pollution due to household and industrial waste. She brings up the issue where clean water which should essentially be free for all is now being used for monetary and political agendas.
Tyler Lumsden
Tyler is a psychological student who is one of the finalists of Miss Earth Australia 2018. She is an advocate of mental health and also raised $10,000 for the betterment of rural mental health. Tyler is 165 cm in height.
Tyler wants to raise awareness about the amount of waste that people produce on a daily basis which ends up in oceans and underground water reservoirs. Tyler wants to inspire and show people how to live a waste-free life.
