Helen Latukefu was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Saturday, 9th September 2023 at the Tang Media Performing Arts Centre in Smithfield. Helen will now prepare to represent Australia at Miss Earth 2023.
Helen Latukefu is of Tongan and Scottish descent and hails from Sydney. She is an ecologist by profession. Helen succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Australia 2022 Sheridan Mortlock. Helen is so thankful to the Dharug people of the Bidjigal clan where she was born, grew up, and advocate for.

Helen, after winning the national crown, took to her official social media as she wrote, “Before I write anything, I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia whose land I now represent as Miss Earth Australia 2023. We cannot reverse the past but I hope that I can honour you, by using this platform to teach people about this beautiful land you have maintained for all of us for tens of thousands of years. This was my first ever pageant, and I still can’t believe the outcome. Thank you, a million times, over to everyone involved!”
Miss Earth 2023, the 23rd edition of Miss Earth, will be held in Vietnam on 16th December 2023 where Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi of South Korea will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
