The Miss Earth Bosnia and Herzegovina organization hosted the coronation ceremony for this year’s edition where Dajana Šnjegota was crowned as Miss Earth Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022 and won the opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming Miss Earth 2022 pageant.

Dajana is a 19 year old civil engineering student. She won the Miss Balkana pageant, which is a regional competition comprising several Southeast European countries. She took to her social media to express her feelings after the win as she wrote, “What an incredible show! It is a great privilege and experience to participate in an event like this.I look forward to further competition.”

Dajana succeeded Miss Earth BiH 2021 Ines Radoncic for the title. Being a small European nation, Bosnia and Herzegovina can be proud of the fact that the country has already won the Miss Earth international title once.

After winning Miss Earth 2002, Dejla Glavovi surprised pageant fans and pundits. However, that triumph was short-lived and contentious. Dejla was dethroned in the end. Apart from that, the country has made it to the Miss Earth semi-finals four times, the most recent being in 2017.

Bosnia and Herzegovia will be represented by Dajana Šnjegota at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant. Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of the international pageant, is all set to be held later this year where delegates from all over the world will compete for the coveted Earth crown. The winner will succeed and be crowned by Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner of Belize.

The Miss Earth pageant has been held virtually since 2020 due to the pandemic, making it the only Big5 pageant to do so. The actual pageant is hopefully set to take place this year, as limitations in the Philippines and throughout the world are being eased.
