Mattea Henderson crowned Miss Earth Canada 2019

At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Earth Canada 2019 held hours ago at the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Mattea Henderson was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Canada in Miss Earth 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Canada 2018 Jaime Yvonne Vandenberg.

Mattea, the 24-year-old beauty, performed with excellence and grace at the national contest. This was her second national stint this year having participated in Miss Universe Canada 2019 earlier in August. She could not win a placement in the Top in that competition but here she bagged the winning title. Not new to the pageantry, Mattea also represented Canada in Miss Intercontinental 2017 and with her stellar performance, she placed in the Top 20.

Miss Earth Canada – Air 2019 - Jasmine Paguio

Miss Earth Canada – Water 2019 – Water Tiffany Tari

Miss Earth Canada – Fire 2019 – Jean de Jesus

Miss Eco Tourism Canada 2019 – Alexandria Kleinschmidt

The contestants who competed for the national crown are Jean De Jesus representing Edmonton, Mattea Henderson representing Calgary, Wincci Yingsi Zhou representing Markham, Mickey Proulx representing Northern Ontario, Tala Safadi representing Montreal, Natalie Allin representing Kelowna, British Columbia, Ikee Villagracia Tomas representing Regina, Tiffany Tari representing Bolton, Jasmine Paguio representing Toronto, Ajita Rayamajhi representing Edmonton, Courtney Dawn Jones representing Newfoundland and Labrador and Alexandria Kleinschmidt representing Calgary.

Last year, Jaime Yvonne Vandenberg Miss Earth Canada 2018 represented Canada in Miss Earth 2018 but unfortunately failed to win a placement in the Top. Canada holds one Miss Earth crown under its belt won by Jessica Trisko in 2007.
