Miss Earth Canada organisation took to their official Facebook page to announce that Denise Gloren Guelos is the new Miss Earth Canada 2020 and will represent her country at Miss Earth 2020. Gloren sicceeds Miss Earth Canada 2019 Mattea Henderson.
Gloren was a fan-favourite and a strong contender since the beginning of the competition. Not new to the pageantry, Gloren holds a strong background with various titles under her belt. She won Miss British Columbia in 2016 and went on to participate in Miss Universe Canada 2018 where she placed in the Top 20. She again won Miss World British Columbia 2019 and went on to win the Miss Supranational Canada 2019 title.
Having the experience of representing her country at an international stage already, Gloren is an ideal choice for the virtual edition of Miss Earth this year. Miss Earth Canada 2020 Gloren Guelos’ court included -
First runner-up - Natalie Carriere
Second runner-up - Kathleen Barr
The seven semi-finalists who competed for the national crown after being chosen from a pool of seventeen contestants were Mckenna Haz, Alexandria Kleinschmidt, Kathleen Bar, Natalie Carriere, Stéphanie Hubert, Denise Gloren Guelos and Melanie Renaud.
Last year, Mattea Henderson represented Canada at Miss Earth 2019 stage and was highly appreciated for her performance but unfortunately could not secure a place in the Top 20. Canada has one Miss Earth crown under its belt which was won in 2007.
