Miss Earth Chile is an annual national pageant held in Chile to select the representative of Chile to compete in the Miss Earth pageant. Chile made its debut in the Miss Earth pageant in the year 2002 and since then the country has been sending delegates to compete in the Miss Earth pageant.
And this year’s competition is already underway as Miss Earth Chile 2018 is going to hold the grand finale on 16th September, 2018 at the Diego Rivera Theater in the Capital of the lakes region, Puerto Montt. The time of the coronation night and information about the preliminaries is not yet revealed but will soon be updated.
Miss Earth Chile 2017 Sofia Manzur will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. She represented Chile at Miss Earth 2017 but unfortunately remained unplaced in the competition.
From 2002 till 2006, the representatives of Chile to Miss Earth were selected from the pageant Miss Chile. After not sending any delegates from 2007-2009, in 2010, Miss Model & Bellezas Chilenas organization appointed the title holder for the competition. However, from 2013, Nuestra Belleza Chile pageant came into existence that used to select the official contender of Chile for the Miss Earth pageant.
Finally, in 2015, Miss Chile Earth pageant was established, that will be selecting the country’s official representatives for the Miss Earth pageant. The finale of Miss Earth Chile 2015 was held on October 3, 2015 and Natividad Leiva was crowned as the winner by the outgoing queen Catalina Caceres. Catalina represented Chile at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant, however was unplaced.
