At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Earth China 2016 held on 12th September 2016 Zhu Tain Le (or Clover) was crowned as the winner. Zhu Tain Le succeeds Miss Earth China 2015 Serena Pan and will now represent China at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant.
21 years old Zhu Tain Le is a student at the University of Chinese Traditional Medicine. The Miss Earth China beauty pageant was launched in 2002 to actively promote the preservation of the environment in China. The first representative f China to Miss Earth was Zhang Mei who competed in Miss Earth 2002. In 2006, China first entered in the semi-final round of the Miss Earth pageant, where Zhou Meng Ting finished in the top 16 and also won the Best in Talent award.
The reigning Miss Earth Angelia Gabrena Ong also graced the finals of Miss Earth China 2016 held in Shanghai. Angelia was present at the finale as a Special Guest, and also helped Miss Earth China 2015 Serena Pan co-crown the winner.
