Miss Earth Colombia organization has appointed Natalia Romero as Miss Earth Colombia 2020 who will now represent her country at the virtual edition of Miss Earth 2020. She succeeds Miss Earth Colombia 2019 Yenny Carillo.

Natalia Romero is not new to the pageant world as she competed in Miss Earth Colombia 2018, the year that Valeria Ayos Bossa won and Natalia was adjudged Miss Earth Colombia-Fire 2018 at the age of 24. Natalia works as an international business administrator and a model.

From Tulua, Valle del Cauca, Natalia seems like a strong contender for the crown. She stands 173 cm tall and is fluent in English as well as Spanish. With her experience in the pageantry and her strong hold in the language, she will sure be an ideal contender to compete at Miss Earth 2020.

Colombia has maintained a strong streak in Miss Earth since the last three years as Juliana Franco Miss Earth Colombia 2017 was adjudged Miss Earth Water 2017 crown at Miss Earth 2017. Moreover, Valeria Ayos Bossa Miss Earth Colombia 2018 also won the Miss Earth Water 2018 crown at Miss Earth 2018 with her stellar performance. Last year, Yenny Carillo Miss Earth Colombia 2019 placed in the Top 20 with her stunning performance as well.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding her appointment as by right of succession Betania Rojas who Miss Earth Water Colombia 2019 and Miss Intercontinental Colombia 2019, was in charge of wearing the Miss Earth Colombia 2020 band, and the rumors were more than true as there were images of her photoshoot as well. The reason of her not winning the crown is still unknown.

Congratulations to the newly appointed queen!
