Miss Egypt, held annually, is the national pageant that sends its representatives to the major international pageants. The second runner-up of Miss Egypt represented her country at Miss Earth till 2016 after which the pageant stopped competing at Miss Earth.

As the news came in that the ‘Land of Pharaoh’ decided to make a comeback at Miss Earth pageant, a new national director was appointed to select the Egyptian beauty who could represent Egypt at Miss Earth 2018.

Mustafa now holds the responsibility of selecting and crowning the comeback queen of Egypt and maybe pioneer its win at Miss Earth Pageant.

Mustafa took to his official Instagram and shared the news with the caption, "It’s time to make some noise!! Not new to the pageant world, Mustafa Elezali won the first ever Man of the World 2017 competition. The 26-year-old model also holds the franchise director’s post for Man of the World Egypt. There is no denying the fact that Miss Earth Egypt will flourish under his direction and guidance.

The last Miss Earth Egypt was Imaj Ahmed Hassan in 2015 who remained Unplaced at Miss Earth 2015. The pageant did not send any representatives in 2016 and 2017. Egypt is yet to win its first Miss Earth crown.
