Guadeloupe is all set to compete in Miss Earth 2019 under the delegation of Marika Moutoussamy as she has been recently crowned Miss Earth Guadeloupe 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Guadeloupe 2018 Orlane Dorocant.

Marika bested other candidates at the finale night held on 11th August 2019 at the hotel "La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa in Guadeloupe's third most populous city, Gosier. Marika along with earning the right to represent Guadeloupe at Miss Earth 2019 finale has also taken over the responsibilities and advocacies associated with the title.

The newly crowned beauty is 21 years of age and stands 170 cm tall. Coming from the city of Morne-à-l'Eau, she seems to be a confident young lady who can be a tough competitor and will give tough competition to the other beauties at the finale.

The 19th edition of Miss Earth i.e. Miss Earth 2019 is all set to crown this year’s Earth queen as the coronation night is scheduled to take place on 26th October 2019, with various national delegates from all around the world vying for the international crown. Miss Earth 2018 Nguyen Phuong Khánh of Vietnam will crown her successor at the conclusion of the event finale.
