The organization of Miss Earth Guatemala recently crowned María Regina Barco Sandoval as Miss Earth Guatemala 2019 and rendered her the right to represent Guatemala in Miss Earth 2019 pageant. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Guatemala 2018 Lisa Hayet.
The beauty is 20 years of age and hails from Jutiapa. She will not be competing on a stage for the first time as earlier, she competed in Chica Blessings contest in 2017, where she successfully made a spot as the winner of the contest.
After receiving the crown, this beauty took to her social media account where she uploaded a post filled with emotions as she wrote, ‘“I am convinced that for things to be fulfilled, they must be dreamed and the whole planet conspires to make this happen. I have decided to belong to an organization that is aware that physical beauty is ephemeral and what really impacts is the beauty of your thoughts, your spirit and the tenderness of your heart.”
“That is why I did not hesitate to accept this opportunity and demonstrate the integral capacity that Guatemalan women have. Miss Earth has been characterized by highlighting the integral beauty, intelligence, security, elegance and above all, commitment to the cause of preserving the environment.”
“It is worth mentioning that I feel identified with the cause, as a child I have an innate love towards nature, towards animals, and this is the ideal platform in which I can positively impact our society. Keeping in mind her advocacy and the reigning responsibilities, María will for sure be a promising delegate. With her determination and passion to improvise the conditions of the environment, the newly crowned queen will commence her preparation to represent Guatemala shortly.
Last year, Lisa Hayet represented Guatemala in Miss Earth 2018 but she couldn’t secure her place in Top positions of the pageant. Thus, this year’s edition will be overloaded with immense hopes as the country is yet to pioneer its win in Miss Earth 2019.
