Ami Hachiya crowned as Miss Earth Japan 2016

On the eve of July 31’ 2016, Japan witnessed the magnificent gala night of Miss Earth Japan 2016, where one Japanese beauty was chosen as the country’s representative for the Miss Earth 2016 pageant. Ami Hachiya was crowned as Miss Earth Japan 2016 and will now don the sash of Japan at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant to be held later this year.

Ami succeeds Ayano Yamada Miss Earth Japan 2015 pageant. The beautiful girl defeated 15 other contestants to clinch the coveted title of Miss Earth Japan 2016. At the same pageant, Miyu Toyoshima was adjudged as Miss Air Japan, Manae Miyakoshi got Miss Water Japan title and Ayana Matsuda was declared as Miss Fire Japan.

Miss Earth Japan is an annual national beauty pageant that selects representatives for the Miss Earth pageant. Miss Earth Japan Organisation is based in Shinjuku, Tokyo and is organised by IBG Japan (I Vesey Japan, Inc.) under the cooperate name Miss Japan Institute of Earth General.

Japan has managed a decent track record at Miss Earth in recent years by placing in 2010, 2011 and 2012 consecutively. Japan also managed to win Best in National costume in 2010 and 2011. Do you think Ami Hachiya will be able to bring Japan its first Miss Earth crown?
