During the grand finale of Miss Earth Myanmar 2018 held on 18th August 2018, Chaw Yupar Thet was crowned Miss Earth Myanmar 2018. She was crowned by her predecessor Miss Earth Myanmar 2017 Tin Sandar Myo. Chaw Yupar will now be representing Myanmar at Miss Earth 2018 to be held on 3rd November 2018.
Chaw was asked what she would tell the young generation as a spokesperson of Mother Earth, to which she replied by addressing the issue of deforestation. She brilliantly gave a simple example and said that just like the fish cannot survive without water, it is impossible for the planet and its inhabitants to survive without trees. In conclusion she advised the future generation to plant as many trees as possible to ensure their survival.

This 24-year-old beauty is a graduate of Hotel and Tourism Management and was crowned amongst eight other contestants. She has had previous experience in the pageant world as a participant in Miss Heritage International 2015 where she was crowned 2nd runner-up. Myanmar is yet to win a title at Miss Earth, so we wish Chaw Yupar all the very best.
