Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Earth Portugal 2020 at the finale of Miss Queen Portugal 2019 held on 30th November 2019 as she became the official representative of Portugal in Miss Earth 2020. However, just hours ago, the organization informed that the diva had renounced the national title and will not be holding the duties and responsibilities of the crown.

The organization took to their official social media as they wrote, “Camila Vitorino renounced the title of Miss Earth Portugal 2020, presenting professional reasons that made her unavailable to participate in Miss Earth 2020.”

“The CNB Portugal / Miss Queen Portugal Organization, regrets the decision, being now focused on designating and presenting very soon, the candidate who will represent Portugal at Miss Earth 2020”, the organization added.

While she has renounced the title, the pageant fanatics do want to see her compete at the international competition and are hoping that she will be selected to represent Portugal at the 2021 edition.

Last year, Miss Earth Portugal 2019 Bruna Silva represented her country in Miss Earth 2019 and with her incredible performance, she placed in the Top 20. Portugal is yet to pioneer its win in Miss Earth pageant.
