“These emotions cannot be expressed in words. It was difficult, but I did it, because if you set a goal and go towards it, then you will definitely get there, the main thing is not to give up,” the queen wrote in an emotional post on her social media, after winning the crown.

Krasa Rossii (The Beauty of Russia) is the oldest beauty contest in Russia, held since 1995 that sends delegates to the Miss Earth competition. The organization says that the "Beauty of Russia" title is a social springboard for young girls, that helps to popularize culture, healthy lifestyles and universal values among youth of the country.

Next year, Ekaterina will succeed Miss Earth Russia 2021 Anastasia Almiashva who will represent the country at the upcoming virtual edition of Miss Earth 2021. Ekaterina will have almost a year to prepare for her international stint and head to Philippines for Miss Earth 2022, details for which are yet to be announced. The main motivation of the Miss Earth contest is to promote the care of the environment and ecology, for which the contestants must present projects that propose changes in environmental policies.
