Imaya Liyanage, a 23-year-old law student and an emerging model from Wennappuwa has been crowned Derana Veet Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2014. She won the title at the final of the pageant held at Citrus Hotel, Waskaduwa. Imaya will now compete at the Miss Earth 2014 contest.
In addition, she also won the Miss Sunday Observer title decided on a popularity poll conducted by the newspaper Sunday Observer.
Shanika Chamini (24) was the first runner-up while Teena Fernando (21) was the second runners up.
Miss Earth-Air 2014 Katia Wagner from Austria also attended the event.
