Viyana Pietersz was elected Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2023 as she became the official representative of Sri Lanka at Miss Earth 2023. She succeeds Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2022 Udani Senanayake.
Viyana is a dedicated student and social entrepreneur with dual bachelor's degrees, one in performing arts at the University of Visual and Performing Arts and the other in Business at Melbourne Polytechnic. Viyana embarked on her modeling journey during her teenage years as she collaborated with luxury brands that put her into the spotlight in the Sri Lankan modeling industry.
As for her advocacy, Viyana is a passionate environmental advocate in Sri Lanka, with a primary focus on curbing deforestation. She also champions eco-entrepreneurs in rural communities, helping them bring their products to the global market. Her dedication earned her the title of ‘Ambassador for USA G20 - Economic Forum’.
Miss Earth 2023, the 23rd edition of Miss Earth, will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 22nd December 2023 where Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi of South Korea will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
