It was announced recently that the 16th edition of Miss Earth USA i.e., Miss Earth USA 2020, will be held on 8th August 2020 virtually via Pageant Planet. The decision of hosting the pageant virtually has been taken due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The organization announced that Miss Earth celebrates its 20th year in 2020, as Beauties for a Cause, providing women across the globe with a global platform to support environmental impact.
It was recently announced that Miss Earth 2020 will be conducted virtually to select Miss Earth 2020 and international elemental titles of Air, Water, and Fire. Similarly, Miss Earth USA 2020 will also conduct the pageant virtually to select their representative for Miss Earth 2020 and the elemental national court of Air, Water, Fire, and Eco. Miss Earth USA organization stated that as almost all the international, as well as the national pageants, have decided to host their coronation ceremony virtually, they find it more important than ever to amplify their voices online and among the community. This is an incredible opportunity for the United States to be represented during this historic 20th year.
The organization also announced that the virtual activities will be conducted from 3rd to 8th August which will include recognition of medal challenge and scholarship recipients across all divisions. The organization, as well as the delegates, will witness the farewell of Miss Earth USA 2019 Emanii Davis, Miss Earth USA Air 2019 Libby Hill, Miss Earth USA Water 2019 Mia, Miss Earth USA Fire 2019 Francie and Miss Earth USA Eco 2019 Nicolette at the end of the event finale as they bid goodbye to their crown and reign.
Due to venue restrictions, the organization has determined the best course of action is to welcome 2020 delegates across all divisions to continue their reign and join the organization at next year's competition, tentatively scheduled for January 2021. Applications have reopened for the next live Miss Earth USA 2021 too. ?
