Muka Mimi Hamoonga has been appointed as the new Miss Earth Zambia 2020 just a few hours ago and will be representing the country at the virtual coronation ceremony of Miss Earth 2020 which is scheduled to be held in the month of November 2020. She succeeds Miss Earth Zambia 2019 Venus Mary Vlahakis for the title and is very excited to be representing the country at international stage.
Hailing from the capital city of Lusaka, Muka is 23-years-old and has recently graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineer and is also a professional model. She also happens to be an activist who aspires to work towards preserving and conversing the planet with her knowledge and understanding.
Muka is not new to pageantry as she was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Heritage Zambia 2018 but her desire to represent the country at international stage and work for the environment brought her back to the Miss Earth Zambia 2020 where she was declared as the winner and will be representing the country at Miss Earth 2020 stage.
The diva is very particular about using her platform to work towards a healthy and positive lifestyle that would help in healing the mother nature and making it better for the coming generation. Zambia’s highest placement at Miss Earth beauty pageant was in 2014 when Miss Earth Zambia 2014 Cartier Zagorski was placed at the Top 16 at the end of the event finale. Muka is excited and honored to be able to represent the country at Miss Earth 2020 stage and along with it using her platform to work for the environment, something that she is very passionate for.
After the announcement of her appointment as the new Miss Earth Zambia 2020 was made via social media, she took to her social media to share a sweet message, “I pledge to save the earth with a heart of resilience and spirit of an eco-warrior.” Muka’s message is clear and precise that she is ready to take onto the challenges that will come her way but she is going to perform her best to make the people of Zambia proud. She is strong, beautiful, determined, and focused towards her goal.
