Elizabeth shared that she applied for the competition after one long night shift and beauty pageant is something she has never done before but feels excited to be a part of it now. She explains, “I saw the previous winner was a junior doctor, so I just sent in photos and didn’t think anything more of it.” Elizabeth believes that divas who participate in beauty pageants are more than a pretty face as they are grilled or put into crucial situation where their general knowledge is tested and they have to participate in charity works and even make their own dresses in an ‘eco fashion’ round.

The diva explains that she has received very positive response from everyone and is hoping that people will support her throughout her journey at Miss England 2020. The diva mentioned, “I’ve told quite a few of my colleagues and they were a bit surprised, but supportive. I was a bit unsure about whether I should do it because I didn’t want to take anything away from my patients, but my mum said: ‘You can bring recognition to nurses’.”

Elizabeth in her introductory video mentioned that she is passionate about helping people and would use the platform to do something good for the ones who need it. She is a positive, humble, and very compassionate towards people and that is one of the reasons why she is a fan favorite. She is also in the British Army. The diva has been tirelessly working at the hospital working long shifts to care for people seriously ill due to the pandemic covid19.

“It was a very difficult time for everyone. Wearing PPE for hours on end, and not having any breaks, but luckily it seems to be improving. It was all just coronavirus patients. Normally we care for trauma patients, but we were just having coronavirus patients,” explained the beauty queen. But she is preparing herself for the competition and working on her body angles, postures, on-stage walk, communication, and interview skills. She is also working on preparing herself mentally and emotionally for the competition as it is necessary for beauty queens to be ready. She will be competing for the semi-finals for Miss World England 2020 on 31st July 2020 and if Elizabeth is successful in the final, the former King’s College student will go on to compete in the Miss World contest.
