Kayra Wouters of Belgium crowned Miss Environment International 2022

The coronation night of Miss Environment  International 2022 was held in Mumbai, India on 2nd April 2022 where Kayra Wouters of Belgium was crowned the new winner of the title. The debut edition of Miss Environment International 2022 was supposed to be held in 2020 but was postponed for two consecutive years due to rampant spread of covid-19 around the world.

Kayra Wouters gave a stellar performance at the finals to win the crown for Belgium. She wishes to provide for others and get a smile on people’s faces through her deeds. Kayra, on winning the debut crown for her country, took to her official social media to announce her win as she wrote, “We Did It! Last night I was officially crowned as Miss Environment International 2022. The joy and warmth in my hearth are overflowing. I’d like to thank everyone that has supported me on this journey. Belgium, this one was for you.”

The newly crowned Miss Environment International 2022 Kayra Wouters’ court included –

1st Runner-up/ Miss Ecosystem 2022 - Michelle Arceo of Philippines

2nd Runner-up/ Miss Biodiversity 2022 – Amelia Sky of South Sudan

3rd Runner-up/ Miss Aqua 2022 - Mariel Zuñiga of Peru

4th Runner-up/ Miss Fauna 2022 - Jemy Mandem of Zimbabwe

 

 

Also at the finale, Michelle Arceo of Philippines created a huge impact through her determination and hard work. Arceo also won Best in Environmental Video and Best in National Costume awards.

The panel of jury included Vinay Lamba, Moneesa Dhiman Grover, Anees Deen, Actor Arjun Yadav, Heena Shah, Shwetaa Khanduri while renowned dancer Sandhya Damle was the performing artist of the night.
