Miss Ghana 2020, the annual edition of Miss Ghana, was all set to host its coronation night soon where delegates from all over the country will compete for national crown and the opportunity to represent Ghana in Miss World 2020. Rebecca Kwabi Miss Ghana 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

But recently the Miss Ghana Organization announced that the talent show will be hosted on 30th May 2020 virtually. The pageant was initially scheduled for May 2020 but has been postponed till further notice. The talent show is a partnership between Exclusive Events Ghana Limited and Kri8 Concept, and it is expected to be exciting.

The Miss Ghana organization used the virtual platform to show the eviction of the delegates as not more than 20 contestants are expected to take part in the finale evening. Hosting a talent show virtually will be the second time the organization has taken the help of virtual platform to not only keep the delegates hooked but the audience too.

The organization posted the following statement on their social media account,

“Join us make history once again on Saturday 30th May, the world will witness the first virtual talent show for a beauty pageant! Subscribe and stay on the Miss Ghana official YouTube page to catch our highly talented @_missghana 2020 contestants. Miss Ghana 2020 talent show goes live @ 5pm (GMT),”

Due to the global spread of the novel coronavirus lockdown has been announced in most parts of the world. The President of Ghana Akufo-Addo also imposed a ban on public gathering, followed with a partial lockdown, hence the contestants could not come together to engage in weekly project activities. But the organization has been trying to come up with fun activities which could be hosted virtually and keep the delegates and audiences hooked onto the pageant.
