With the 10th anniversary edition of Miss Global almost coming to an end with the finals scheduled to be held in just a few days, there are a few delegates from the 2023 batch who have outshined at the competition with their hard work, determination, strong oratory skills and stunning beauty.

Taanusiya Chetty, from Malaysia, has emerged as a strong contender for Miss Global 2023 crown. She is 24 years of age and stands 173 cm tall. From Indian-Malaysian descent, Chetty is a beautiful and well-groomed beauty queen. She stands for ‘empowering women, embracing cultures and embody the beauty within’.

Ever since her arrival in Cambodia, Taanusiya embodied the spirit of women empowerment in all the pre-pageant activities and events. Chetty became a batch favourite since the beginning of the competition, promoting not only the culture and tradition of her home country but also Cambodia and Vietnam, the host countries for Miss Global. Chetty also outshined at the sashing ceremony held on 2nd January 2024.

Chetty has embodied the spirit of Phoenix, in awe with the Miss Global crown, which symbolizes strength, transformation and renewal. At the Preliminary Competition, Taanusiya slayed at the swimsuit and evening gown rounds as well. At the National Costume Competition as well, Chetty donned ‘The Queen of Entopia’ national costume.

As a humanitarian, Taanusiya also visited the special needs children today at ‘Rumah Sayang’ last year in November. At Christmas, she visited the Rainbow Home in Cheras, a home for underprivileged, abandoned, abused and orphaned children. Chetty has strong oratory skills, an amicable personality and a very strong stage presence, Taanusiya is definitely a strong contender for Miss Global 2023 crown.

The coronation night of the 10-year anniversary of Miss Global will be held on 21st January 2024 in Cambodia. The pageant is hosting the 2023 edition in two countries, i.e. Vietnam and Cambodia, this year because it’s the anniversary edition. Miss Global 2022 Shane Tormes of Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
