Giselle Nuñez crowned Miss Global City 2018

At the grand coronation night of Miss Global City 2018 held in Jinan, China, Giselle Nuñez was crowned the new queen. She represented the city of Durango from Mexico at the competition. The objective of Miss Global City is to bring together all the people of the world with the tourism of a city of any country, and the importance of caring for the environment, human rights and social works.

Giselle highlighted the culture, gastronomy and tourism of Durango at the finale. A native of Santiago Papasquiaro, Giselle made a tourist video with which proudly boasted Durango and highlighted the most beautiful places in the city, framing the figure of the scorpion, as well as images of representative places such as the Francisco Villa Museum or the Cathedral.

The newly crowned Miss Global City 2018 Giselle Nuñez’s court included –

1st Runner-Up – Becca Zimmer from Taipei

2nd Runner-Up – Kamilla Khusainova from Moscow, Russia

3rd Runner-Up – Jessica Porto from Brazil

4th Runner-Up - Genive Trimble from Johannesburg, South Africa

Giselle took to her official social media to thank her followers and express her happiness in a post, “We won! This I would not have achieved without you! This triumph is for my family, for the people who believe in me, who asked for me! And today I proved a very important lesson in life; when you want something with your heart and soul and you put all your effort into achieving it, you achieve it! One of the most beautiful experiences in a beautiful country! Thanks, China! Thank you, Miss Global City.”
