Amalia Tambunan crowned Miss Global Indonesia 2020

Amalia Tambunan was crowned Miss Global Indonesia 2020 at held at Ciputra Artpreuner, South Jakarta and will be representing Indonesia at Miss Global International 2020. She is very excited to represent the country at international stage.

Amalia who represented North Sumatra is 21-years-old and stands 174 cm tall and is studying product designing from National Institute of Technology and works as a TV host, actress and a professional model. She feels very honoured and blessed that she has been chosen to represent the country at international stage and after winning the crown, she stated, "I am happy and very touched to be Miss Global Indonesia. Previously, I was informed as a finalist last August. I only had less than a month of preparation. Miss Global Indonesia 2020 Amalia Tambunan’s court includes:

First Runner-up: Desy Asnawati represented West Kalimantan

Second Runner-up: Olivia Aten represented DKI Jakarta

Olivia Aten was also awarded Miss Social Media award along with Lizzy Audrey who represented West Java 1 winning Best Performance and Monica Florence who represented West Java 2 Miss Intelligence award at the end of the event finale.

On asking about the preparation for the finale event, Amalia stated, "The preparations will be almost the same later. But for sure they will be superior to us, including public speaking. Doctor Teguh, the supervisor of PT Mahakarya Duta Pesona Indonesia, which oversees Miss Global Indonesia, stated "Today we have successfully held a beauty contest event which was held for the first time in a hybrid manner. Of course, by prioritizing a very strict health protocol. So, all those present here go through a strict process.” The organization of Miss Global Indonesia appreciated Amalia for her performance and mentioned that she has shown immense amount of determination and focus towards winning the title and that’s why she was able to win among the 12 finalists.

The diva is confident and believes in herself which she describes as a necessary thing to have when you want to feel comfortable with who you are, and recognizing that you have worth. She has started to prepare for the grand finale event which will be held in 2021 in Indonesia.
