The Miss Grand International organization has recently announced the termination of license agreement with Miss Grand Argentina 2021 Alina Luz Akselrad as she will no longer be a part of the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant. The official statement said, “Termination of license agreement with our former license holder of Miss Grand Argentina 2021 due to 1) Failure to complete license payment as agreed within deadline, 2) unsatisfactory professional conduct which involves a substantial and consistent failure to reach and maintain a reasonable standard of MGI as license holder.”
Miss Grand Argentina organization had recently elected Alina Luz Akselrad as the new Miss Grand Argentina 2021 to represent the country at the upcoming edition of Miss Grand International. As the diva will no longer be a part of the international pageant, she took to her social media to share the news as she wrote, “Once again I have to tell you that, ‘A dream only dies when the dreamer dies’, I will continue dreaming of representing our Argentina one more time... THANK YOU! Until someday Miss Grand International.”
Using one of her official photos as the titleholder, she added, “Today is the photo that I choose to put this dream on hold…what will always be, is a beautiful memory. Just as there are things that happen for something, there are others that for something, they do not happen...Or at least I prefer believe that this is the case. I also know that when something is for you, sooner or later it will find you.”
A pageant veteran, Alina has a long list of pageant titles under her belt; Reina Regional ONG Vaso de leche (Winner, 2016-2018), Reina de la Fiesta provincial del Olivo (1st Runner-up, 2016), Reina Nacional de la Frutihorticultura, Colonia Caroya, Córdoba (Winner, 2016-2018), Miss Mundo Córdoba (3rd Runner-up, 2016), Miss Sudamérica Argentina (Winner, 2017), Miss Sudamérica (Winner, 2017), World Miss Tourism Ambassador Argentina (Winner, 2018), Miss Tourism Ambassador América (Winner, 2018), Miss Universe Argentina 2019 (Top 7), Miss Universe Argentina 2020 (Winner), Miss Universe 2020 (Top 20).
Alina Akselrad hails from Cordoba and works as a real estate agent and a presenter. She is of Moroccan descent who speaks Spanish and English fluently. She stands 175 cm tall. The beauty queen launched a line of perfumes in her name in September 2020 as the proceeds were donated to nonprofit organizations including Córdoba Capital – Asociación Civil Vaso de Leche and Fundación Córdoba en Acción.
Alina would definitely have been a strong contender for the golden crown but now due to lack of resources and support in the country she will no longer be a part of Miss Grand International 2021, to be held in December 2021 in Phuket, Thailand.
