Marjana Chowdhury to represent Bangladesh at Miss Grand International 2021

The Miss Bangladesh Us organization recently announced Marjana Chowdhury as the first ever representative of Bangladesh at Miss Grand International competition 2021. In a post, dated 10th November, 2021, the organization released a statement saying, “Only a few more days remain until our queen departs for Thailand! We cannot believe that the time for Miss Grand International 2021 is finally here and to begin the fun, the first contest is already underway!”

The 28-year-old was born in Sylhet, Bangladesh in 1993 and earned her bachelor’s of arts degree from University of Columbia in 2015. She is an American-Bangladeshi model, actress and a philanthropist.

The Bangladeshi queen has an amazing portfolio as a pageant veteran, having won multiple pageants in the US and Bangladesh. She won the Miss Bangladesh US 2016 and was placed in the Top 16 of America’s Miss World 2017. In the same year, Marjana had the honour to be crowned Miss Bangladesh 2017, she went onto represent the country at Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 where she made it to the Top 15 of the competition. The model then bagged the title of Miss Alaska World 2019 and competed at Miss World America in 2019 where she represented Alaska and managed to secure a position in the Top 15.

I am also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be the first ever representative of Bangladesh at Miss Grand International! Marjana will now represent the country at Miss Grand International 2021 to be held on 4th December, 2021 in Phuket, Thailand, where Miss Grand International 2020 Abena Appiah of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
