Miss Grand International 2017 María José Lora is an unstoppable force since the day of her crowning. From uncountable international tours to innumerable photo shoots, María has been keeping us all on toes. Now she gives one more reason to celebrate as just recently María was recognized for her excellence in contributing to the enhancement of the reputation for her homeland and nation by the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo and the Mayor Elidio Espinoza Quispe.

María was looking scintillating in a white gown at the ceremony. She was also joined by reigning Miss Grand Perú 2018 Andrea Moberg Tobies.

This comes after she recently landed at Trujillo, Peru, her hometown for the very first time after her crowning in October last year. Since her arrival in Trujillo, María has been receiving immense love and affection by her family and home towners who are thrilled to have her back for a few days.

Not only this recognition, María was also was bestowed with an Honorary Award by the President of Golf and Country Club of Trujillo for her outstanding achievement in representing Trujillo at the 5th edition of Miss Grand International Pageant in Vietnam. The award ceremony took place last Friday at the Club headquarter in Trujillo. She was accompanied by her parents at both the ceremonies.

María José is the very first Miss Grand International from Peru. She was crowned in a solemn coronation ceremony that called for peace across the world saying, “Thank you very much for believing in me. I have worked very, very hard to be here.” María dedicated her Miss Grand International crown to her fellow citizens back home in Peru. Addressing the women in her country who are still suffering violence, she said,”Get up. You can also make dreams possible.”
