It was a day of nobility in the life of our Miss Grand International 2017 third runner-up Brenda Azaria Jimenez as she joined hands with the Puerto Rican Civic Club, Inc. of San Jose to bring joy to the children of the western area who have been forgotten.
It was the eve of a party of light as a caravan (cars) was decorated and the children were encouraged to get dressed as kings, magicians, Arabs or whatever their heart desired. Even adults took part in the parade wearing various costumes and showed immense zeal. Children were gifted with sweets while they enjoyed music, joy and above all hope. It was the occasion to celebrate the Magi, Puerto Rico’s true tradition.
This was an event organized by the Puerto Rican Civic Club, Inc. of San Jose, an organization which tirelessly works to raise funds for great causes and help the people Puerto Rico.
It was so heart-warming to see our queen join this lovely cause and encourage little kids along with providing them with hope in life. Previously other beauty pageant queens have also been seen working towards various social causes to make this world a better place, whether it’s Miss Earth India 2017 Shaan Suhas Kumar sharing her experiences with young leaders of the world at Asia Pacific Future Leader Conference held in Malaysia, Miss Earth Japan 2017 Yasuyo Saito participating in United Nations Framework Convention to spread the awareness about Climate change, Miss Earth USA 2017 Andrea Gibau feeding needy children in Nicaragua for the World Missions Outreach, Miss Earth Mexico 2017 Karen Bustos spreading environmental awareness to students of a college or Miss Earth Chile 2017 Sofia Manzur supporting Teletón Chile - an annual televised event raising funds to help children with developmental disabilities treated at Instituto de Rehabilitación Infantil.
