As Miss Grand International returns with its 9th edition to be held on 4th December 2021 in Phuket, Thailand, United States’s Abena Akuaba Appiah is all set to crown her successor after a short yet successful reign as Miss Grand International 2020.
For the 2021 edition, Madison Callaghan, who was crowned as Miss Grand USA 2021 is all set to represent USA at the grand stage and is aiming to bag a back-to-back win for the international title and bring home the second consecutive crown for USA.
Madison Lynn Callaghan was crowned as the new Miss Grand USA 2021 on 20th June 2021 in Rosemont, Illinois in the United States of America as she succeeded Miss Grand USA 2020 Abena Appiah, who is also the reigning Miss Grand International 2020.
Madison is 25-years-old and stands 172 cm tall. She is a famous entrepreneur who is known for being the owner of several different beauty and fashion-related companies, including Bongani Swimwear, Veni Amavi Skincare, and Madison’s Pilates studio. She is looking forward to taking over as Miss Grand USA 2021 and beginning her preparations for the competition.
She is the founder of the Madison Callaghan Foundation, which works for children’s rights, providing them with educational materials, sporting equipment & scholarships. Her company, Bongani, is known for donating to the United Through Sport In South Africa foundation, where every swimsuit sold leads to a donation to the organization to help disadvantaged communities.
Madison wants to bring urgency and the need for people to act and take steps to end war and violence for the future leaders of the country. She stated that she intends to use the platform to end the war and violence against children, particularly those in foster care. The diva went on to say that, as the owner of two businesses in modern-day America, she understands the importance of having a strong foundation with family support, and that she would like to take this advocacy a step further and help those in need with the help of the Miss Grand USA platform and her foundation.
She performed exceptionally throughout the competition so far and is determined to keep up with the same for the finale night. If Madison continues to impress everyone and put her best foot forward in the last leg of the competition, she surely has a strong chance of creating a back-to-back win for her country.
