The Miss Grand Malaysia organization recently announced that Miss Grand Malaysia 2021 will be held virtually this year due to the on-going restriction movement order as announced by the Malaysian Government. Delegates from all over the country will compete for the national title and to win an opportunity to represent Malaysia at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2021.
The organization had recently released the list of 23 official contestants competing for the national crown, out of which Top 9 finalists have been shortlisted through the first stage elimination and popular voting. So without any further ado, let us have a look at the Top 9 finalists who have qualified to Stage 2 –
Anya Kimberly from Sabah (Popular Vote)
Dewi Natasha from Sabah (Popular Vote)
Elvieka Chrissy from Sarawak
Kelly Cahill from Sarawak
Kimberly Soh from Selangor
Lishalliny Kanaran from Selangor
Malveen Kaur from Johor
Sarah Cynthia from Kuala Lumpur
Vinthiya Vasu from Kuala Lumpur
Apart from these qualified finalists, the organization also allowed three contestants, saved by the National Director as wildcards, who will join the Top 9 into the Stage 2 of the competition. These wildcard finalists are –
Lindsey Yap from Kuala Lumpur
Pretty Tey from Melaka
Poorani Rajoo from Kuala Lumpur
For the next stage in the competition, these finalists will go on a head to head Instagram live challenge to qualify to the final round. The organization has also released the official timeline of the pageant with the pre-pageant activities starting from 12th July 2021.
At the end of the virtual finale on 1st August 2021, Miss Grand Malaysia 2020 Jasebel Robert, who represented the country at Miss Grand International 2020 where she won the Miss Popular Vote and got a direct entry into Top 10, will crown her successor.
