The reigning Miss Grand International Claire Parker is all set to travel to Nepal. Why? Well, the Australian beauty will be attending the finale of Miss Grand Nepal 2016. The announcement was made by the Miss Grand International Organisation on their Official Facebook Page. The statement read...
“Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, President of MGI Org. along with Claire Elizabeth Parker, Miss Grand International 2015 will be visiting Nepal during 21st to 24th August 2016 to attend Miss Grand Nepal 2016 Coronation. Please follow their daily activities in Nepal and let's welcome the successor of Miss Grand Nepal together.”

Miss Grand Nepal 2016 is being organized by Mero Looks while event would be managed by Revolution Pvt. Ltd. Previously, Srijana Regmi, Ashmita Sitoula and Jenita Basnet were part of Miss Grand International pageant representing Nepal. This is the first time a separate pageant is being held in Nepal to select the delegate for Miss Grand International.
On January 5th 2016, a press meet was organised at Trisara, Kathmandu wherein the Organisers shared the details related to Miss Grand Nepal contest. The team for the Miss Grand Nepal includes, Asmita Sitoula the choreographer, Shivangi Lama is the designer, Akanshya Gurung makeup and Milan Lama is the photographer.

Auditions were conducted in different cities - Kathmandu, Chitwan, Butwal, Pokhara and Itahari – to select the contestants.
Claire is currently in Australia to attend the national finale, wherein she will pass on her crown and her reign to the next Miss Grand Australia. Claire also travelled to UK to attend the gala finale of Miss Grand UK 2016, wherein the representatives of Miss Grand England, Miss Grand Scotland and Miss Grand Wales were crowned.
