12 Months of Beauty organization held the finals of the 2022 edition on 24th April 2022 where Marit Beets was crowned Miss Grand Netherlands 2022 as she became the official delegate of Netherlands at Miss Grand International 2022.

a 22-year-old woman from Volendam, a small fishingtown nearby Amsterdam. She describes herself as a loyal, loving, intelligent, ambitious, and hard-working woman. Marit wishes to stand up against the beauty standards around the world and encourage women to be confident in their own skin.

Marit also took to her official social media as she won the crown and wrote, “Have you ever seen me this happy in my life? At this moment… all the nerves and stress came out at once… W A U W, what a feeling!? I can’t describe it in words how happy and how honored Iam to call myself Miss Grand Netherlands 2022. I’m over the moon… thank you so much for the faith and trust in me, I’ll do the best I can at Miss Grand International. See you in Indonesia!”

Not new to the pageantry, Marit entered the world of beauty pageants at 16 years of age. She started at Miss Teen of The Netherlands in 2016 and went on to compete at her first international Pageant in 2017 which was Miss Teen International H2O Ambassador. She was adjudged 2nd Runner-up at the finale. A couple years later, Marit represented The Netherlands in 2019 at Miss Cosmopolitan World where she also became 2nd runner up.

Marit succeeds Miss Grand Netherlands 2021 Nathalie Yasmin who represented Netherlands at Miss Grand Internationnal 2021 and with her stellar performance, placed in the Top 21.
