The 9th edition of Miss Grand International, i.e., Miss Grand International 2021 is all set to be hosted on 4th December 2021 in Phuket city, Thailand, where stunning delegates from over 60 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the title and crown for over three weeks. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International 2020 Abena Appiah of Unites States will crown her successor.

While, some delegates have arrived in Thailand for the competition, Miss Grand Spain 2021 Alba Dunkerbeck has recently revealed her national costume for the preliminary round of the pageant. Alba unveiled her stunning and shimmering gold and green attire, ‘Laurisilva’, designed by Kilian Atelier.

The predominant green color of the costume represents the color of the forests which arises as a result of all the various tree species and focal point of fantasy. Golden shades are also dominant, symbolizing sun rays passing through its branches. The motion of its feathers are associated with the trade winds, bringing a sophisticated touch in true `Carnaval’ fashion, mainly party and celebration from the Canary islands.

“The special glow coming from our forests is the key to our fantasy. The infinite placement of glass pieces strategically placed from the roots to the top of the tree is what gives that special touch that our beloved LAURISILVA deserves,” she added.

Hailing from Costa Canaria, Alba is 18-years-old and stands 175 cm tall. She is a student of International Business and Global Marketing ESIC and is a professional gymnast who is extremely passionate about beauty pageants and making her country proud. With immense grace, confidence, and experience along with a stunning national costume presentation, Alba is definitely coming up strong for the golden crown.

The National Costume competition for the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant will take place on 30th November 2021.
