Miss Grand United States 2018 started its registrations for the call to select its next representative to Miss Grand International 2018 recently. The reigning Miss Grand International is Maria Jose Lora from Peru.

The finale of Miss Grand United States 2018 is slated to happen on 28th May 2018 in the New York City. As the registrations are about to close, the organization will crown its new queen who will take the place of Miss Grand United States 2017 Taylor Leigh Kessler.

Unfortunately, Taylor could not place herself in the Top 20 at Miss Grand International 2017. The United States has not yet opened its score at the international pageant.

The registration requirements for the beauties vying for the national title are -

-          Single (never been married)

-          Never given birth

-          Between 18 and 27 years of age

-          Must be US Citizen

-          Have good moral character

-          Not been convicted of any crime

-          Available to travel to the International Pageant in 2018

-          Not participated in any obscene exhibitions, whether print, stage or television

Miss Grand United States organizes a Preliminary competition for all the delegates who model in their state costume, swimsuit and evening gown. At the end of the preliminary round, the semifinalists are selected who go on to fight for the title at the grand finale.

At the finale night, the finalists go through four rounds - Opening number, Swimsuit competition, Speech and Evening gown. After these rounds, the jury crowns the winner at the coronation ceremony.
