Miss Great Britain 2017 is all set for its finale which is scheduled to be held on 15th September 2017 at the Athena in Leicester. Miss Great Britain 2016 Ursula Carlton will officially crown her successor at the pageant.

Miss Great Britain team and organizers are yet to reveal their final contestants as they are short listing the candidates on the basis of the votes of people. List of finalists for Miss Great Britain 2017 will be revealed after the selection of candidates and recruitment process will end on 1st July 2017. Candidates will be chosen from each state. 

Miss Great Britain 2017 winner will get an opportunity to be an ambassador for the Miss Great Britain brand and to represent Great Britain in the Miss Tourism World Pageant later this year.

Miss Great Britain 2006 Preeti Desai made history when she became the first ever winner of Indian ethnicity, as she replaced the dethroned Danielle Lloyd. Lloyd had lost the crown after stirring up scandals for posing nude for Playboy magazine and dating one of the judges during her participation in the pageant.

Miss Great Britain is the oldest pageant in the UK, established in 1945, under the name “Bathing Beauty Queen” and it is in partnership with the ‘Sunday Dispatch’ newspaper. Morecambe went on to become the home of Miss Great Britain between 1956 and 1989.
