Cassie Lewis won the title of Miss Idaho USA 2017 during the state finale held on November 11th, 2016. The delegate will have the golden opportunity to represent her state, Idaho, at the Miss USA 2017. The beauty says it was hard for her to control her emotions when she heard her name as a finalist.

The 25 year old currently works as an event planner and fashion consultant and has received a degree in Fashion Merchandising & Design. Cassie’s greatest joy is in being a mentor to young women through a local high school scholarship program she has been working with for the past 6 years.

Cassie belongs to Palouse and has grown up in Colfax, Washington. The delegate graduated from Central Washington University, but fell in love with Moscow. She has been a resident here for three years now, and was moved on by the support from her community during the pageant.

“Even though Miss USA Idaho isn't the biggest state I feel like I have the biggest cheering section in the world,” said Lewis.

On winning the title, the beauty shares, “Being their top two, there was some many emotions, but when they finally called my name it was like all that hard work had paid off.”

Cassie was placed second runner up to Sydney Halper last year and this is the second time she has competed in Miss Idaho USA pageant. Cassie says she will never forget her journey, and that winning the crown makes her a role model to all the young women across the state and throughout the nation.

Cassie wants to inspire young women to fulfil their dreams, and says, “They're at such a pivotal point in their lives deciding who they want to be, what they want to do and I really just want to encourage them.”
