Angel Reyes was crowned Miss Illinois USA 2022, the 71st edition of the state pageant, on 30th May 2022 at the Braden Auditorium, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. Angel succeeds and was crowned by Miss Illinois USA 2021 Sydni Dion Bennett and will represent Illinois at Miss USA 2022.
Angel showed great confidence and conviction at the finale. She is Miss Teen Belleza Latina International 2015. In September 2016, she competed at Miss Illinois USA 2017 where won the Miss Photogenic award and was fourth runner-up to Whitney Wandland. Angel finished in the Top 17 at Miss Illinois USA 2018. She also competed at Miss Illinois USA 2019 where she finished in the Top 16. She was second runner-up to Miss Illinois USA 2021 Sydni Dion Bennett.

2nd Runner-up – Rachel Hodson
3rd Runner-up – Catherine Kennebeck
4th Runner-up – Miranda Fenzau
Also at the finale, Dawn Parks was crowned Miss Illinois Teen USA 2022 as she became the official representative of Illinois at Miss Teen USA 2022. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Illinois Teen USA 2021 Gissell Bahena.
